12 June 2008 Update from Col Ron Scheitzach Within the last two weeks the Iowa Wing has taken over 600 photographs for Iowa Homeland Security/Emergency Management Division. We've also looked for a missing airplane that was found in Nebraska. We have been asked to man our seat at the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) and for the last several days this has been manned virtually 24 hours a day. We currently are only providing aerial assistance. We have an open mission that is good for the week. All aircrews have been scheduled to provide coverage for the entire week. The Wing PAO, Capt Colvin, will be
releasing mission information as it becomes available. Several key Wing
Staff members have been operating on 12-hour shifts manning the SEOC. I
would ask at this time any questions regarding this mission and
timeframe Upon completion of this mission, information will be forth coming in the Wing Newsletter. Thank you for your service to CAP during this time of need, Col Scheitzach
