Update from Capt Chris Colvin, IAWG/PA
Good evening,
Here are today's highlights.
CAP Incident Command has passed from Colonel Mike Krenz to Colonel Ralph
Tomlinson
Five more sorties were flown today over the areas listed in the update
above. Two of these sorties were over six hours each.
The search for livestock continues as concerns have arisen that they can
possibly damage the levees while searching for food.
Aircrews used latitude and longitude provided by the Army Corps of
Engineers to identify critical infrastructure and provide photos and
information.
Thursday 19 June will have limited air sorties due to TFR conditions.
An updated news release will be sent to local, state and national media
as soon as I hear back from a few members. If you would like to add your
comments about your experience with the mission and what you've
witnessed or felt, please send them to
pa@iawg.cap.gov
We hope to post the number of man hours, flight hours, etc. we have
dedicated to this mission on Friday 20 June.
Thank you all for your continued hard work and sacrifice over the past
few weeks.
