Update from Major David Miller, MOWG/PAD

- CAP specifically mentioned on local NBC affiliate (KSDK Channel 5) during morning 6-7 newscast yesterday.

- Work continues with KSDK reporter Casey Nolen, MOWG and CAP fact sheets sent, working with NOC on getting him approved for a medial flight today or tomorrow.

- Capt's. Brian Thompson (pilot) and Mike Smith (observer) interviewed by St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Tim Bryant about their first sortie yesterday over the flood area. Have not seen his article yet today but still looking. MOWG and CAP fact sheets sent.

- CAP mentioned in Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency email news briefings.

- Local Fox and NBC affiliates, and Connie Chung from CNN, were on scene yesterday. Am unaware of any specific CAP interviews done by any of these news groups, but we may be included in any "b-roll" (background footage).

- After multiple attempts to be listed, CAP now finally listed in the twice daily State EMA Situation Report under "Non Government Organizations/Volunteer Organizations" Daily updates, approved by the Wing ESO, being sent.

- Made an onsite visit last night for a couple of hours, took lots of photos for future articles. Established contact with SEMA and the onsite National Guard commander (Maj. Meister, father of MO-040 cadet Victoria Meister). Ran into MO-098 former cadet Casey Dittmer who is MO Air National Guard, doing MP duty, he came over later and spoke with the cadets for awhile.

- Second media release in production, will fax to same media as yesterday, will post later today.
