Update from Capt Chris Colvin

Good afternoon,

I'd like to offer a quick update to make sure everyone has the latest mission information.

This past Saturday, Captain Kirschman flew Congressman Steve King and Crawford County Engineer Paul Assman over areas east of Denison to view flood areas and to evaluate flood control efforts put forth by the county. In addition, the congressman
asked to fly over Little Sioux where a tornado recently claimed the lives of three scouts and injured dozens more.

On Sunday, Congressman King was flown from Newton east to the Mississippi to view the flood areas and damage first hand.

A news release of this latest transportation mission is being written and will be issued to both internal and external media sources.

The news release of President Bush taking time to speak with CAP members at the Linn County EOC was posted in the national website along side the senator news release that was issued last week.
