Update from Col Mike Beason
Commander, South Dakota Wing
I want to thank those who involved in
the photo mission yesterday for the state on covering the
flooding on the James River. The river is flooding from
Mitchell to the ND border. Our guys did great work getting
the photos and placing them on the web.
You can view the photos at our SD website,

click on Flooding March 21st (under the photos in the center
of the page).
Those who worked this yesterday were:

Editing the photos at Mission Base were:
Lt Col Rick Larson
1st Lt Dan Thibault
2d Lt Jason Beeninga
C/1st Lt Bojan Salihagic
And posting the pages on our website was Capt Rick Goeringer.
This was a true team effort and these guys set the standard
in SD on how to manage a large number of photos and make
them available to another agency (the state).
In addition to putting the photos on
our website, they labeled each photo with coordinates and a
description, burned a couple CDs with the photos, and
uploaded some of the photos into WMIRS, so they can be
viewed by National CAP and the USAF.
We'll be reviewing what we did this week and getting more
info out to you on how this was accomplished.
